 Pro forma Invoice -Commercial Documents
Usually, a pro forma invoice is a structure responce to an inquiry . It is issued by the exporter in the following circumstances:
An irrevocable letter of credit is required by the exporter.The importer will use it to substanctiate the need for a letter of credit to his bancker.
The importer's country requires that an import liencese be issued for each import and must approve the pro forma invoice before making foreign exchange available for payment by the importer.
Therefore, a proforma invoice has no legal status. It is only a means to facilitate the buyer to accomplish the above-mentioned tasts. |
